BIO
Rune Guneriussen, born 1977, in Norway. Education from Surrey Institute of Art & Design in England. Live outside Oslo in Norway. Is an artist working in the transition between installation and photography. As a conceptual artist he works site specific primarily in nature, but also seeks to manmade structures. The objects are turned in to large installations, and end up as large images on the wall. Rune is inspired by the Norwegian landscape, and tends to a more poetic development of his works. The installations are built in carefully selected locations, and are designated to the space it’s given. Objects are temporarily installed with great care of nature, and take several days to complete. Guneriussen works are made alone, with no influence of people on location. The remoteness is reflected in the works appearance. The reality is nevertheless clear, but altered before the picture is taken.
